Support

For me, providing support means combining rigor, humanity, and responsibility, with the conviction that appropriate care always begins with a nuanced understanding of the individual, their developmental environment, and their history.

Clinical practice has always held an essential place in my career. Working with children, parents, and families is not just a professional choice, but a deep commitment that has been present since very early on. As a teenager, I volunteered with individuals with severe disabilities and handicaps, a foundational experience that profoundly shaped my approach to human support. After my clinical psychology training, I had the opportunity to work for ten years at the Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc in Brussels, within multidisciplinary teams in neuropediatrics and in the follow-up of children with metabolic diseases. This hospital practice taught me the importance of listening, nuance, interdisciplinary work, and supporting families in often complex and vulnerable contexts.

I created the Specialized Psychological Consultations (CPS) in parenting within the Institute of Psychological Sciences Research at UCLouvain, and I supervise the CPS in life history. Since January 2026, I have been the academic head of all CPS. My ambition is to give this service all the visibility it deserves, by better promoting its specificity and level of excellence. The CPS occupy a unique position, at the intersection of research and empirically-based clinical practice: a space where the latest scientific knowledge meets the reality of life journeys, psychological suffering, and the concrete needs of families.
